MyBloomsday

On Bloomsday, 16 June 2022, to celebrate the centenary of the publication of Ulysses, MoLI asked young people from 2nd to 6th class to tell us all about a day in their life.

As a follow-on activity from watching Branar's You’ll See… film (watch it here), young people across Ireland captured the diversity of lived experiences of young people from around the island of Ireland and put their voice and perspective at the heart of this day.

This simple and fun exercise linked imagination and biography, giving us a sense of what their days are like. Schools from across the country took part, and the 657 individual submissions are now presented as an online archive here.

If you'd like to have a go yourself, you can download the original sheets here.
